How To Plan The Ultimate Toy Story Birthday Party
When it comes to Toy Story, most adults are just as obsessed as the kids, especially with the release of Toy Story 4 in 2019. It has created a whole new generation of Woody Cowboy and Buzz Lightyear fans. And let’s not forget those strong female leads with Bo Peep and Jessie the Cowgirl leading the way!
A Toy Story birthday party is a perfect option for boys and girls alike, with so many fun ideas to create the ultimate Toy Story themed event!
Toy Story Costumes
While costumes aren’t an essential part of a themed birthday party, they are a lot of fun. Even if it’s just your family dressing up as a surprise for the guests. We created our own Toy Story family costumes for Halloween and they were easy to create at home
Everyone’s favourite cowgirl, Jessie. I put this costume together from clothing I already had in my wardrobe, with some temporarily stitched fabric embellishments. Check out the full tutorial for creating your own Jessie chaps and cowgirl shirt.
Our youngest daughter’s Bo Peep costume was by far my favourite. She rocked the Toy Story 4 Bo Peep look and could not be more adorable if she tried! That shepherd’s crook is actually a candy cane Christmas decoration.
The sassy Barbie in her workout gear was a simple costume to put together, with a dance leotard and a simple sock hack.
Other DIY Costume Ideas
If you’ve got family members who don’t love to dress up, these Pizza Planet and green alien costumes are an easy option. Perfect for dads and big brothers.
Create your own Buzz Lightyear T-shirt in any colours you want. Grab the free SVG file.
Or how about a pair of DIY Minnie Mouse ears inspired by Jessie? This makes for a fun homemade option for a visit to Disneyland too!
