How To Make Spider Oreo Cookies
This Halloween treat recipe will make 12 spider cookies with Oreos, but you can double your ingredients if you are making them for a larger crowd. They can also be super cute as packaged Halloween gifts to hand out at a party or for trick-or-treaters.
They are so quick and simple to make! You can have a batch ready in about 20 minutes

STEP ONE – In a microwave-safe bowl, combine ½ cup of chocolate chips with olive oil. Microwave for 30–45 seconds, or until melted and smooth.
STEP TWO – Twist apart Oreos. Press 3 broken pretzel halves into the cream side of each cookie on one side, then another 3 halves on the opposite side to create 6 “legs.”
STEP THREE – Spoon a little melted chocolate over the pretzel ends and place the other Oreo half back on top to hold them in place.
STEP FOUR – Dip one side of the Oreo into melted chocolate. Immediately add candy eyeballs and chocolate sprinkles for a fuzzy spider look.
STEP FIVE – Place the cookies in the fridge for about 10 minutes, until the chocolate sets.
Serve and enjoy your creepy spider cookies!

Tips For Making Spider Oreo Cookies
- Use double-stuffed Oreos for extra space to press in the pretzel legs.
- Work quickly when dipping in chocolate so the sprinkles and eyes stick before it sets.
- Try fun variations with coloured sprinkles or candy-coated chocolates for eyes.
- Let kids decorate their own spiders—it’s a fun Halloween party activity!
Storing Your Spider Cookies
Keep your finished spider Oreo cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. They’re best served chilled so the chocolate stays firm.
