Easter Egg Slice Ingredients
This Easter egg slice has only a handful of ingredients and most of them can be substituted for similar items to make it your own perfect Easter slice recipe.

- Condensed Milk – The key ingredient to making your slice!
- Sweet Biscuits – I used Arnott’s Arrowroot biscuits, but any sweet biscuit works great for the base.
- Milk Chocolate – You can use melts or a block of chocolate that you melt down – and it can be any chocolate flavour, not just milk chocolate.
- Mini eggs – I used a combination of 2 different types of mini eggs for this recipe, chopped up roughly. I used Fruit Tingle mini eggs and speckled mini eggs.

How to Make Chocolate Easter Egg Slice

The best thing about this Easter treat recipe is that it’s quick and easy to make and you can mix it up to suit any occasion, just swapping out the mix-ins, just like with my Turkish Delight slice variation.
Step 1: Prep
Prepare by lining a slice tray with baking paper..
Step 2: Crush
Crush up your biscuits using a food processor, then add the biscuit to a medium mixing bowl.
Tip: If you don’t have a food processor, add a few to a ziplock bag and use a rolling pin to crush them instead. Sometimes, I prefer this method because it’s one less thing to wash up!

Step 3: Make The Base
Mix in around 200g of condensed milk and combine with biscuit crumbs until sticky. If needed, you may need to add a little extra. Mix in half of the mini eggs. Pour into the lined baking tray, making sure it is pressed firmly to make the base of your slice.

Step 4: Melt
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments and stir until smooth. Pour over the top of the biscuit base. Sprinkle the remaining crushed mini eggs over the top and put in the refrigerator to set.
Tip: If you want to speed it up, pop it in the freezer instead. I am impatient and often do this!

Step 5: Cut
Once fully set, cut your slice into squares, ready to serve.

Ingredient Substitutions for No-Bake Easter Slice
