EASY LEMON GARLIC PRAWNS RECIPE
Seafood has always been a favourite in our family. While the kids may not always appreciate the flavours as much as they should, there is rarely a special occasion or celebration when we don’t have a serving of seafood. And prawns are often the favourite choice!
While plain cooked prawns are great, nothing quite compares to these garlic-loaded, juicy prawns. They are bursting with so much flavour and incredibly quick and easy to cook up.
Helpful Tip: If serving as a main dish, make sure you aim to have approximately 5 large or 7-8 medium prawns per person when paired with a side dish.
How To Make Lemon Garlic Prawns
This recipe is made using raw prawns. They do not take very long to cook and you want to make sure not to overcook your prawns, so they maintain their juicy texture.
This is the same reason this recipe does not involve pre-marinating the prawns, as it can draw out some of the moisture from your prawns.
We like to use prawns with the tails still on with this lemon garlic prawns recipe, but if you prefer, you can also get them completely peeled. This can be a good option if you plan to toss them through rice or salad after cooking.
Ensure you have a medium to large skillet (frying pan) for cooking the prawns as this will ensure they cook more evenly and it also allows them to simmer in the flavours. Yum!

Seafood Seasoning Substitutes

Any supermarket seafood seasoning blend is fine to use.
You can also make your own version at home. The key ingredients are typical salt or celery salt, paprika, nutmeg and pepper.
If you plan to make this recipe often and would rather a homemade seafood seasoning, you can make up a larger batch for use in future.
