Project Life is perfect for all occasions. I use it for recording our annual family memories, for travel albums and it is also great even as a guest book in the physical form.
Hosting my friend’s baby shower meant doing the guest book thing my way… so I headed to our local craft store to pick up some fabulous project life related supplies to create what will be both her guest book and her baby album, which formed part of her gift. Lots of manufacturers these days have baby themed collections which makes it even easier.
Becky Higgins has a baby boy, baby girl and baby neutral kit available. I used the baby girl kit for my own daughters baby album, and the digital version for the matching photo books. But even SNAP!, Kaisercraft, MAMBI and others have baby collections.
For this album I got mostly Kaisercraft supplies mixed in with some Becky Higgins album pages:
Then I just popped the protectors in the album and slotted in a mix of 4×3 and 6×4 cards into the pockets at random.
All my friend will need to do now is take photos, print them and stick them in the pockets, add a bit of journaling and BAM – baby album done!
And for the guest book I used the same theme as the invitations and other stationary I created for the baby shower and printed message cards onto Becky Higgins 4×6 textured cards.
On the day of the shower, just place the cards with a pen and a sign and let guests sign them, them pop them into some pockets in the album, along with some baby shower photos and again – day remembered with minimal effort.
If you are interested, I have attached the file below for the guest book cards for download, for free. Just print on 4×6 card/paper. And if you like this one, check out my Etsy store where you can also purchase a custom matching invite for printing.
