Back in August I co-hosted my best friend’s baby shower in preparation for her bub who could be due any day now. We went with a fairly simple blue and white baby shower theme, but with a few mixes of jungle theme to match the little guy’s nursery. I thought I would share some of the details from the day.
We had a lolly buffet. Just a mix of cool jars from the discount stores and some blue and white lollies from a confectionery warehouse. My friend got some little lolly boxes from eBay as she misplaced the leftover boxes from her wedding favours.
These cute little ready to pop popcorns were made with marshmallow so they had a candy popcorn taste. Not made by me though so sorry, no recipe but they look great.
This table had the prizes for games, the guest book inserts (see my post here to learn more about my DIY guestbook and baby album gift) and nappy message station.
There were some impressive nappy cakes given as gifts. It really is amazing how creative some people can be with some nappies, and baby clothes. And you don’t really want to pull them apart to use them.
And the food looked great and tasted great, along with the blue punch, which worked perfectly with the blue and white baby shower theme. This was just a basic punch recipe with a splash of blue food colouring. Really simple yet it looked great!
Above is the cake for the baby shower. Simple but sweet and it tasted great. And below is yet another awesome present for the mum to be. And it was massive!
And a pic of me and my bestie… the glowing soon to be mummy. She loved her blue and white baby shower and had a great day. Not long now until her little guy comes along!
